10 Tips for Learning the Bible
Select a Bible Translation that Fits You (KJV, NIV, ESV, etc.)
Start Small (1 verse a day –> 1 chapter a day –> 15 minutes a day, etc.)
Schedule Your Bible Reading (having a consistent time and place to read helps)
Write in Your Bible (yep, it’s okay to do this so write, circle, and highlight away)
Pray Before Reading (thank God for the “spiritual food” you’re about to consume)
Read Bible Passage in Context (read the full chapter versus isolated verse)
Supplement with a Daily Devotional (many free ones exist online)
Consider a Bible Reading Plan (many free ones exist online)
Memorize Bible Verses (this takes the truth from your head to your heart)
Join a Bible Study Group (learning together is fun and rewarding)
